Job Overview:

Cedarwood Engineering Services PLLC is currently seeking an Entry Level Civil or Environmental Engineer (0 to 4 years of experience ) for our Saratoga Springs office location. We are a small consulting engineering firm (10-15 full-time employees) that specializes in water and wastewater treatment design. We provide a vast array of services ranging from water treatment/storage/distribution, wastewater treatment/collection, stormwater design, site/civil development (subdivisions, campgrounds, etc.), building/infrastructure design, grant writing/administration, topographical/site surveying, permitting and construction phase services across a variety of market sectors such as municipal, industrial/manufacturing, private clients and residential/commercial development.

Although we are a small firm, we make a big impact working across New York State ranging from small-scale to multi-million-dollar projects. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, self-driven, hardworking, and can make an immediate impact on our team. Qualifications :

• Graduated from a full-time accredited Bachelor or Graduate engineering program.
• Passed F.E. exam and have Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification.
• Willingness to learn and pursue continuing education workshops in the engineering discipline with the intention to obtain P.E. license within 4 years or whenever eligible.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD (minimum AutoCAD LT).
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to commute to Saratoga Springs, NY office for daily work.
• Looking for candidates that possess the following traits: motivated and dedicated worker, self-starter with leadership experience, detail-oriented, strong organizational, analytical, effective communication and design skills, excellent technical writer, a team player, and exceptional time management skills.

Responsibilities :

• Design and permitting assistance under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (water infrastructure, wastewater infrastructure, stormwater infrastructure, building design, residential subdivisions, campground design services, landfill post-closure monitoring and reporting, etc.).
• Assistance with completion of bid documents (project manuals, technical specifications, contract drawings).
• AutoCAD drafting/design and/or Civil 3d work.
• Construction oversight assistance.
• Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and inspections.
• Assistance with project management and planning.
• Quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
• Permitting.
• Environmental reviews (State Environmental Quality Review Act and National Environmental Policy Act).
• Field investigation (e.g.: percolation tests, test pit evaluation, infiltration testing, etc.).

Additional Details:

• $25.00-$36.00/hr based on previous experience
