Controller

Location: 100% Remote

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as a knack for analysis and problem-solving. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial-related activities of the organization, including month-end close, QuickBooks, SaaS, and other accounting duties. you will report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement accounting procedures and processes to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices.
• Manage the month-end and annual close processes, including accruals and other closing entries.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial data and suggest solutions for improvement.
• Identify and mitigate any financial risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks.
• Start-up Experience
• Experience working at a SaaS Company.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• CPA (preferred).
• Experience with Maxio (preferred).
• Experience with Paychex (preferred).
• Subscription experience (preferred).
• FP&A experience (preferred) - We work with an outside firm on this.
