Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Litigation Paralegal to join our clients growing legal team. Our client is a major manufacturer, centrally located downtown Chicago. 

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will support attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, research, document management, trial support, and client communication. 

Corporate Litigation Paralegal Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Conduct legal research and assist in case analysis
• Manage and organize case files, documents, and evidence
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials
• Prepare discovery responses and assist in discovery document production
• Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
• Draft and file documents with the court, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
• Prepare trial exhibits and assist with trial preparation
• Perform other tasks as required to support the legal team

Corporate Litigation Paralegal Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
• Paralegal certification from an accredited program (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
