This role seeks an individual who will help expand Hashicorp Vault's functionality, maximizing its security potential for IT Teams, and make a significant impact on the University of Minnesota's security posture. Key Responsibilities: * Work with the team, Product Owner, and Product Manager to drive strategy for secure secrets management such as API tokens, passwords, certificates, etc for the entire organization. * Collaborate with InfoSec (UIS), Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of Vault with existing IT infrastructure and applications. * Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Go, and JavaScript to streamline processes and improve efficiency. * Monitor Vault's performance and troubleshoot various incidents to ensure security and high availability. * Collaborate with various teams to onboard new applications and provide assistance and mentorship in secure coding practices. * Mentor less-experienced engineers by providing assistance with roadblocks, design decisions, and coding practices. * Create documentation, guidelines, best practices, and deliver workshops to teams to drive adoption of secrets management. Qualifications *Please document qualifications on resume Required Qualifications: BA/BS plus at least four years of relevant experience, OR master's degree plus at least two years of relevant experience OR a comparable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Solid understanding of security principles and secrets management best practices. Strong software development skills and demonstrated experience building secure software solutions. Experience with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc. Experience working with monitoring and SIEM tools (Splunk). Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc. Experience working with various DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Github, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. Familiarity with OS (Linux, Windows) system administration, database (Oracle, mySQL), networking, firewalls, cloud services (Azure, AWS) Preferred Qualifications: Certifications for HashiCorp Vault, Azure, or AWS. Experience architecting and implementing a Secrets Management or PAM solution. Experience with automation tools and practices. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to Secrets Management, Cryptography, Tokenization, PKI and digital certificates. Experience providing mentorship and career development opportunities to team members.
