Position: Healthcare Biller/Collector I
Contract Duration: Initial 9 months (with potential for extension or direct offer)

Work Environment:
This position is primarily remote, though local residency is required due to occasional in-office meetings in Irwindale.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, with flexibility on your weekly schedule available after training is completed.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and recover payments from patients and insurance companies for outstanding hospital and medical accounts.
Make outbound calls to facilitate successful payments or arrange satisfactory solutions for delinquent accounts.
Collaborate with payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, to resolve issues and gather necessary information for debt collection.
Work with customers to identify and arrange effective collection solutions.
Ensure all billing processes are complete and accurate.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital collections
Familiarity with California hospital billing (state laws, insurance, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of payer contracts, appeals writing, and medical terminology
Preferred:

Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical records (EMR) systems
