Job Description

Role Description: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Straight Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. This role involves safe and efficient driving, focusing on timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include operating a 26ft box straight truck and ensuring a positive customer service experience. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitudes and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles in compliance with local, state, federal, and company rules.
• Safely load and unload cargo.
• Maintain ELD logbook according to DOT regulations.
• Conduct vehicle inspection reports.
• Review shipping papers for special handling requirements.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and safe.
• Wear safety equipment when handling material.
• Maintain a clean and safe truck environment.
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting maintenance or safety issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adhering to traffic laws.
• Promptly report any incidents or accidents to management.

 
Qualifications: 

• Valid Class C Driver License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must clear pre-employment drug and background checks.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Hazmat certification is great and highly recommended.
• Previous experience as a straight truck driver preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD) • Good physical condition and strength for handling cargo.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus.
