Maintenance Specialist III - HVAC/R - 8 hrs/day (Maintenance/PC#253913)

Position Summary:  Participates in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of manual and computer-aided mechanical or industrial electrical systems, electrical controls, ventilation, and automated and manual air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems. Operates environmental control systems for heating, air conditioning and handling, and interior and exterior lighting.

Employee Type: Full-Time
Salary: $30.41 - $40.18 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience (new hire maximum of step 5).
Location:  Maintenance Department
Hours: 8 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).

Education and   Experience:  The position typically requires an Associates Degree or equivalent vocational program in Energy Management, Industrial Technology, or related field and two years of progressive experience. Training in an industrial, commercial or military setting or experience in the electrical and mechanical maintenance fields may substitute for some higher education.

Licenses and Certifications:  Requires a valid Driver’s License. Requires appropriate certification in area of specialization for handling and recycling of refrigerants.
