Position Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)

Program: Connections Program (Serving Students with Autism, Grades 1-6)

Location: LaGrange Park, IL

Start Date: August 19, 2024

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
• Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM (Professional development from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to determine students' occupational needs and areas for growth.
• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students.
• Collaborate with case managers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Work alongside an interdisciplinary team and classroom teachers to address students’ therapy needs.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide training and support to staff and the community regarding occupational therapy and related areas.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Eligibility for IDFPR licensure in Illinois.
• Eligibility for a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
• Preferred experience working in a K-12 educational setting.
