Palo Alto Firewall Migration SME ( Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Location: Irving, TX 75063
Length:9 months (potential extension)

Overview: As the Palo Alto firewall migation SME, convert the current fortinet and Checkpoint firewall configurations to Palo Alto configurations, test and perform the deployment and migration of new Palo Alto firewalls in Vistra Plant edge locations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the firewall configuration clean up of the VIstra firewalls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology integration.
• Lead technology architecture discussions and provide strategic insights.
• Implement best practices for Palo Alto Networks Firewall Deployment and Operations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of technology architecture processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 + years as a Palo Alto Firewall migration SME
• Experience in Migrated Fortinet, Checkpoint Data center firewalls to Palo firewalls
• Exp in performed Firewall rule and policy clean up initiatives for clients in the past
• Advanced level of proficiency in Palo Alto Networks Firewall Operations is recommended.
• Architectural Design proficiency
• Technology Architecture proficiency at an intermediate level
• Palo Alto Networks Panorama proficiency at an advanced level are suggested.
• Knowledge of advanced NextGen firewall and SASE solutions.
