We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic Tax and Accounting Departments. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, providing expert tax preparation, accounting services, and strategic advice. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Individual, Corporate, and Partnership tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
- Compute taxes owed and ensure compliance with all relevant payment and reporting requirements.
- Analyze accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards.
- Conduct client meetings and calls to facilitate effective communication and gather necessary documentation.
- File timely tax returns and extensions as needed.
- Prepare documentation and reports for periodic client meetings.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and expand service offerings, collaborating with internal teams to achieve this.
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with clients.
- Document all tasks performed in our customer relationship management system.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Contribute positively by suggesting improvements and learning new skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with 10 years of industry experience.
- CPA license in good standing.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax preparation for individual, partnership, and corporate returns.
Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret tax documents and federal, state, and local tax codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in financial software, such as QuickBooks and the Intuit suite, along with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles and tax preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with colleagues across departments.
- Detail-oriented, with the capacity to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, use of hands for typing and handling documents, and communication via phone.
- Occasional lifting/moving of up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
